Charlie Needs Braces

Come celebrate the latest Single off Charlie Needs Braces Debut Album ‘Daryung’, meaning ‘stingray’ in her mob of the Central Coast the GuriNgai’s language.

The Daryung is the mobs totem and is sacred as it represents the traditional peoples and carries our stories down through generations.

'Colour Chaos & Repetition'
A series of large watercolour paintings by Naarm-based artist Jamie Mcelhinney. This series focuses on breaking down shape to its most simple forms.

The use of colour and size create images that could represent multiplying cells or infinite galaxies.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a live music and spoken word performance featuring Jamie, Keshav Yoganathan, and Sizway combining experimental, avant-garde and improvised music.

El Rey Miel
The 4 hands of Will Tait and Kate Constance have been busy, generating fresh piano duet landscapes and travelling the contours of their existing repertoire.

These works of musical art are serious fun, powered by a desire to celebrate the beauty and absurdly abundant aliveness of life.

Glowing Creatures
A sculptured wearable and lighted artwork that roves and moves around spaces creating a calm and mysterious atmosphere.

Artist Miri Woods who has recently moved to Naarm created these creatures in 2020 in her last year of school in Bundjalung Country and has worked on the project since building different structures to expand the range of movement the wearable sculpture can do.

The creature projects colour, texture, joy, curiousness and interacts.

This exhibition is open for one night only at Natural Habitat Studios with donation entry, $10 cocktails, with dinner and snack specials available.
