Learn the basics of drawing with stitch and create your own gorgeous colourful artwork on fabric using a needle and thread.

Mel Brady is a painter and installation artist living on Gubbi Gubbi land, who works with fabric and paint to create site-specific, immersive installation art and light-hearted craft. Mel’s love of vintage art and fashion has inspired art and craft workshops in galleries and museums in the Moreton Bay Region since 2017. A recent highlight for Mel is Stick Together, a travelling weaving project that has connected hundreds of people across SE Queensland.

Mel is currently working on a series of paintings for an exhibition called The Pattern is the Pattern, exploring her continuing obsession with textiles and patterns from the 60s and 70s.

Workshops are facilitated by experienced artists/educators.
