First Ever Eid at Queen Victoria Market

On May 7 and 8, Queen Victoria Market will come alive with the sounds, smells and tastes of Eid. Eid is the biggest celebration in the Islamic calendar and marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. For the first time ever, Eid will be celebrated at the iconic Queen Victoria Market.

This is an invitation and opportunity for the wider Melbourne community to celebrate and partake in the celebrations with the Muslim community and immerse yourself in the diverse cultures that Muslims come from, ranging from Africa, Middle East, Europe, South East Asia and the Subcontinent.

There will be an offering of food from these regions, interactive arts, and a range of performances. It promises to be a celebration for the senses with delectable food and amazing beats.
