At age 16, Josh Earl was chosen to dance on tour with a professional dance company for two weeks. The only thing was – he had not told his parents he was a dancer. Like a real life Billy Elliot, if Billy Elliot was no good at dance, and only got selected because they were running short on male dancers in Tasmania in 1998.

Modern. Contemporary. is a show about seeing things differently, failing spectacularly and trying to make sense of it all.
