Summer Training options: Saturday 6.45 am | Sunday 7.45am | Tuesday & Thurs 6 pm

Come and witness the spectacle of competitive Dragonboating on Pittwater:

For over 10 years, the Bei Loon Dragon Boat Club, in Bayview, has proudly hosted a unique race for the dragonboating community. The race to conquer Scotland Island is on!

At almost 9.5k, the Scotland Island race represents the longest dragonboat race on the calendar, eclipsing the normal race distances of 200m, 500m and 2k by some margin. Bei Loon’s Scotland Island race has previously attracted up to 18 clubs from multiple States, eager to come and test out their endurance abilities as well as enjoying, what is agreed to be, the most spectacular dragonboating venue – the Pittwater!

Come and check out Dragonboating:

This year will be a great opportunity for all members of the public to come and learn more about this unique water sport of Dragon boating. Come and chat to the friendly Bei Loon Dragon Boat Club team, who will have an information point set up on the beach at Rowland Reserve (next to the dog park) between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 12th February. Our enthusiastic members will be only too happy to answer any questions you may have about the sport and what is involved. Dragonboating is great way to get fit and meet other people. Bei Loon is proud to be one of the largest Dragonboat clubs in Australia and, no wonder, what with the most spectacular surroundings to enjoy the sport in – the beautiful Pittwater.

Dragonboating is a lo-impact sport, hi-energy sport that is highly suitable for a range of abilities and ages. Each boat can accommodate up to 20 paddlers and a sweep. No prior experience is needed. Just a strong desire to get fit and enjoy yourself in the process.

Come and see us on Saturday 12th Feb, from 10.00 am to 2pm to find out all about dragonboating. We guarantee you will want to try it!
