“Every child is an artist.” - Pablo Picasso

But don’t take his word for it. Every morning the Wonderland Spiegeltent will be commandeered by kids and their keepers. Imagine a garden full of paint, glue and beanbags, and a tent full of circus, music and comedy. A space thoughtfully curated for the Coast’s little artists to have a laugh and dirty their fingernails.

Drop-in during Family Hours – 9am to Midday, every day from Saturday 27 August to Sunday 4 September – for some FREE, self-guided arts and craftery.

Create a coastal collage in an activity designed by The Butiner. The Pottery Studio will have you getting messy making clay animal figurines. Colour, make music, or just chill out in our reading nook, thanks to New Art Dreaming, King Street Music School, and Sunshine Coast Libraries. We’ll be playing a new short animation of Guyu and friend Mr Pelican, narrated by author and illustrator Aunty Hope, on a loop. Afterwards, grab a Kabi-Kabi language activity book and a copy of Aunty Hope’s beautifully illustrated story.

Feature Weekend Workshops:
- Instrument Circuit with King Street Music School: Sat 27 Aug + Sun 28 Aug / 9am-12pm
- Decorative Ornaments with Art for Earthlings: Sun 4 Sep / 9am-12pm

This event is recommended for children aged 4-12.

You can also book-in for one of our Family Workshops (check out the separate event listings for more info). Young ones will love the adventure of raft-crafting, flower-pressing, clay-molding and portrait-making at CREATIVE PLAY WITH WILDLINGS FOREST SCHOOL. Meanwhile, CREATIVE BUBS WITH NEW DREAMING ART will be running workshops for Mums and Dads to get creative with their littlest ones, and the WONDERLAND CIRCUS will have something a little more active.

And don't forget to Snap up a ticket to our kid-friendly performances. Groove along to millennial pop hits with BABUSHKA IN RIGHT TO PARTY. Laugh your ibis off with HOLY BIN AMOLEY! Or marvel at the clever acrobatics of CIRCUS WONDERLAND - A NEVERLAND TALE and LE COUP. Each of these events have their own event pages with full details.

Free event.
