Darvall’s most recent series was conceived while walking through the Boranup Forest, enchanted by its beauty and the play of light that feeds through the endemic Karri trees. For weeks Darvall returns to a particular pocket of the bush, recording the theatrical majesty of the forest in a collection of drawings, paintings and sketches - as light filtered through Karries, wildflowers, orchids and fungi.
