Kathleen Hunt Artist Talk

You are invited to join us at the Gympie Regional Gallery space, where you will experience a personal connection with Kathleen Hunt as she video call's in for an artist talk.

Daily, since the February 2020 murder of Hannah Clarke and her children, Hunt has read and printed reams of ABC news reports and stories on bias and violence toward women. Then, folded and twisted, embroidered and rolled with deconstructed cultural items of a pre-digital age, the pages are repurposed to challenge the revealed network of gender bias and power underpinning our society.
