The Friends of ANZAC Cottage will open the Cottage for the first time in 2022 on January 23 by celebrating the deeds of the “Men Who Built the Suburb”, the Mount Hawthorn Progress Association. This group, well known for the building of iconic ANZAC Cottage, were the instigators of many community facilities for the new suburb which laid the foundations for Mt Hawthorn as we know it today. These fascinating men and their vision had a huge impact on our lives which is still being felt over a century later.

On this day, the Cottage will be open from 1:30 to 4pm with the “Men who Built the Suburb” talk to begin at 2:30pm.

ANZAC Cottage is situated at 38 Kalgoorlie Street, Mount Hawthorn and entry is by donation.
Afternoon tea and cold drinks can be enjoyed for a gold coin donation and icecreams are available at reduced prices. For more information please call Anne on 0411445582 or email chapan@highway1.com.au.

The Friends of ANZAC Cottage acknowledge the support and encouragement of the National Trust of Western Australia. ANZAC Cottage is managed by the National Trust on behalf of the community and the Government of Western Australia.
