The first in our 2022 MetSO Young Artist Concerts Series.

Join us for our warming winter concert and marvel at the glorious honey tones of Alex Thomson performing Weber’s captivating Clarinet Concertino. Alex has recently returned home after studying a Master of Arts at The Royal Academy of Music in London, and we are thrilled to be able to showcase this outstanding young local artist.

Also on the program, two romantic gems: Weber’s defining grand waltz - “Invitation to the Dance”, and Schumann’s broodingly passionate Symphony No. 4 - both works written when the composers were newly married and in the first flush of love.

MetSO Young Artists Program - a unique community program supporting young West Australian musicians.

This event is proudly supported by the City of Stirling, Lotterywest and Churchlands Senior High School.

MetSO is partnered with Zenith Music and Snadens Pianos. and with Act-Belong-Commit - Mentally Healthy WA.

MetSO’s Patron is the Honourable Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia.
