Mick Medew and The Mesmerisers in Sydney

Two years and eight months after the pandemic kept them home, Mick Medew and The Mesmerisers are sweeping south into New South Wales for dates In Newcastle and Sydney.

The band brings their impossibly great powerpop rock to Mayfield Bowling Club on Friday, November 4 and Marrickville Bowling Club on Saturday, November 5.

The Mayfield gig is with East Coast Low in support. Mick Medew and Ursula are opening (showcasing their “Love is Calling” CD) and admission is free.

The On and Ons and Jupiter 5 will be supporting at Marrickville and tickets go on sale on September 8 via oztix.com.au

Every band has a COVID-19 story but it’s been a stranger one than most for Mick Medew and The Mesmerisers. With members located both sides of the NSW-Queensland border, even rehearsals were limited as the restrictions on gigs started lifting.

When borders back open and life approaching normality, the band resumed gigging with shows of their own and a magic support to The Johnnys in their home town.

The Mesmerisers were supports of choice to Sunnyboys earlier this year only for COVID to force postponements. The gigs were some of their best ever when they went ahead and
Mick Medew and The Mesmerisers are finally heading south.

These will be their final NSW shows for 2022 so make sure you don’t miss them.
