The Brisbane-based multidisciplinary artist was engaged to create the scent embedded in Jenn Nkiru’s installation REBIRTH IS NECESSARY. Hear from Merritt about the process of making this component of the work, explore which fragrances bring you feelings of nourishment within the exhibition space, before crafting your own bespoke salve.

Jenn Nkiru’s first solo exhibition in Australia, REBIRTH IS NECESSARY, explores the magic and dynamism of Blackness in a realm where time and space are altered. The now, the past, and the future are rethought and reordered to create something soulful and mind-bendingly visceral.

The workshop fee includes all materials and you will take home a nourishing body cream.
