Melbourne collective The Operatives new series ops:x returns with Soulection badman Jarreau Vandal, the Dutch producer and DJ who has become a household name for those bingeing on Soulection over the past few years.

The day party will also see Jarreau Vandal joined by a stellar local lineup of DJ Smilez, c000kie, Kaira Cuvee, Nam, JPS, Tinika and Teejae. It comes as the second ops:x event, following the June launch with Masego and Jordan Dennis.

Jerry Poon (Director of The Operatives) says, “ops:x marks the beginning of a brand new spot, a destination for music, fashion, art and like-minded souls. We will be announcing small markets within the gigs for young designers as well.”

Born in Maastricht, Vandal has been producing since the age of 16. Having been exposed to a wide variety of musical influences from gospel and soul to jazz and house, Vandal’s musical identity is organic as he aims to combine everything that inspires him, turning it into his own authentic, one-of-a-kind brand of music.

Gaining fame for his edits, such as Rihanna's ‘Work’ and remixes such as Dua Lipa’s ‘New Love’ and Mahalia’s ‘Sober’, Vandal has amassed a cult following in Europe, North America and Asia. Yet, there is more to Vandal than sold-out shows, The Amsterdam resident has soundtracked commercials for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Vodafone and boasts sustained support from the likes of Beats 1, BBC 1Xtra, Rinse, and Boiler Room.
