Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 24th April 2022 with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club and City of Stirling. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Natalie D Napoleon with Micheal Lane and John Howard.

‘Perth Folk and Roots Club welcomes Natalie D Napoleon with Micheal Lane and as well as John Howard to perform at Perth Folk and Roots Club‘, said Keith Anthonisz, President of the Perth Folk and Roots Club.

Natalie D-Napoleon is originally from Fremantle and is a singer-songwriter who returned home after spending over a decade based in Santa Barbara, California. While in California she recorded several albums and worked with a host of musical luminaries. Natalie music wise is influenced by Patti Smith, Willy Vlautin, and Leonard Cohen and has successfully explored both writing and song writing across a 25 year career. One of her first musical accomplices was Kenny Edwards - founder of The Stone Poneys and long-time Linda Ronstadt sidekick. Natalie recorded a new album with a single microphone in an old chapel just before her departure from California in 2019 representing her fourth solo album. Following the success of their Folk Alliance International Livestream performance earlier this year filmed at The Fremantle Church, Natalie D-Napoleon with Micheal Lane will feature at the Perth Folk and Roots Club performing songs from Natalie's album "You Wanted To Be The Shore But Instead You Were The Sea".

John Howard is a Perth based singer/songwriter who released his debut 12 track CD ‘So It Goes’ on 1st January 2018. The album was produced with assistance from Mike DeVelta and Alan Dawson of Empire Blues. Johns songs are all in the Folk/Rock/Country genre and Johns musical influences include Mark Knopler, Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, Tony Joe White, and The Proclaimers. The So it Goes CD has been played on Alan Dawson’s “Twilight Zone” program on Fremantle Radio and has received very positive feedback. John Howard in 2020 released ‘Vintage Commando’ a twelve song album. John will be playing songs from both these albums.

‘As always we are also looking for up and coming artists to do a few numbers for the audience’, Keith added.

Please note the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club is hosting the Perth Folk and Roots Club as a free event for its members and guests with memberships offered at a very reasonable cost to Perth Folk and Roots Club supporters.
