The Sedergreen Brothers Sextet formed by Australian jazz icon Steve Sedergreen and his brother Mal Sedergreen are returning to Hawthorn Arts Centre on Friday 29 July. Audiences will be treated to a one-off performance celebrating the music of Stevie Wonder, featuring multi-award-winning guest vocalist, Nina Ferro.

The Sedergreen brothers joined forces as duo ‘Mistaken Identity’ in 1985 and later went on to produce unique arrangements of iconic Stevie Wonder songs for an album called Wondering.

Steve Sedergreen has been a household name in the scene for many years and has performed at the likes of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival and Sydney Festival. Steve has taught jazz for over 20 years, including mentoring members of Cat Empire, and directing and curating for Dizzy’s Jazz Club.

Performing in the Sedergreen Brothers Sextet alongside Steve and Mal are powerhouse artists: Felix Bloxsom on drums, Harry Morrison on bass, Dave Palmer on trombone and, multi-award-winning guest vocalist, Nina Ferro.
