SENSORY ART LAB COMING THIS AUTUMN.
Join us for Sensory Art Lab, an interactive art experience for kids and their families and carers! In April and May 2022, our friends from Slow Art Collective are transforming F-Block Gallery into an art space that invites everyone to play and explore their creativity with art-based activities! Using their exploratory creative focus on environmental sustainability, material ethics, DIY culture, activism and collaboration, Slow Art collective are here to help you unleash your creative potential. Open and accessible, this creative wonderland is ready to welcome everyone through the doors.
Activities during the Sensory Art Lab include:
Archiloom Weaving Room – creative a large-scale woven installation on bamboo scaffolding, made from mixed materials including recycled wool
Sonic Archery Room – using soft archery arrows to target drum sets, creating great sounds and beats
Audible Touch Space – creating collaged sound worlds by touching and feeling electronic musical devices
Open for exploration in 2 sessions 10am – 12pm, 12pm – 2pm Wednesday – Sunday.
Supported by the ACT Government as part of the Winter Events Series.
