The Southern California inspired music and arts festival, SoCal, returns for a second year bringing an epic lineup of bands and DJs to live-music-deprived Central Queenslanders keen for a dance. Held at a brand new, purpose-built site at Yeppoon on Saturday 7 May, the festival boasts an all-Australian lineup including What So Not, Cosmo’s Midnight, All Day, Lastlings, Little Fritter, Northeast Party House (DJ set), Micci, Nyxen, Running Touch, Set Mo, Wongo, Benny Frank, Clariti, Danny James, Iyah May, Kondo, LKay and Sarg, hosted by Tenzin.
Having merged with SeaSide Festival in early 2022, SoCal will bring twice the bang and offer festival-goers an immersive music and arts festival experience complete with full production shows over two stages, Ferris wheel, live and life-size art installations, artisan markets, food stalls, and more.
With a noticeable absence of music festivals in regional Queensland currently, and the festival’s proximity to stunning must-visit destinations such as Great Keppel Island, SoCal is building on the vision to become the premier music festival in Central Queensland, attracting visitors from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and further afield, and cementing its place as a must-do festival on the events calendar.
Make a weekend of it, soak up the natural beauty of the region - May is for making memories with mates.
Ticketholders can also expect a selection of Australia’s best beverages from Your Mates Brewing, Mr Consistent and Hard Fizz to fuel their day.
