Treat your mum to a memorable Mother’s Day with Songs for a Day on Sunday 8 May. The second instalment of State Opera’s three-part series features soprano Rachelle Durkin in recital with pianist Anthony Hunt, in a celebration of the precious moments we encounter every day. Enjoy a stunning repertoire including songs by Britten, Bernstein and Gershwin and Barber. A delicious afternoon tea is on offer after the performance in Ukaria’s brand new dining area.

Celebrating the beauty of voice and the powerful inspiration that can be drawn from music, Songs for a Day is set to be a truly magnificent event with the nature of the venue allowing the audience to experience these spectacular artists up close, creating the opportunity for a deep visceral connection between music, audience, and performer.
