Tawny Trails is The Creative Living Experience. An all-indulgent road trip, day out, or weekend away that shares the culture of creative living.

Not your average trail; this one is accessible year-round, so we are ready when you are. Escape from everyday life, relax and indulge in art, experiences, and the area's scenic beauty. Mixing the beauty of nature and the magic of creativity.

Open the last Sunday of every month. Tawny Trails is a crafted journey that takes you through the heart of the creative Moreton Bay Hinterland: Woodford, Mt Mee, Ocean View, Dayboro, Clear Mountain, Samford and Wights Mountain.

Experience life through the eyes of artists. Enjoy the mountain views, squeeze modelling clay, hear the birds, taste wine, throw some paint, smell the clean air, stroke the neck of a horse, view award-winning artworks, feel the calm after yoga, ponder the masters of creativity, sleep in a luxurious mountain getaway, the choices are brilliant!

Each location has been hand-picked to express different elements for your creative journey with no place alike. You will meet award-winning artists that have had creativity running through their veins since birth, as well as those with academic, holistic, and opportunistic backgrounds.

Just to pick a few standouts, enjoy the sparkle and light, the glamour and fancy, and the downright quirky and fun at the Nigindi Gallery in Woodford. Carol is the queen of upcycling. Slickers Horesriding offers hilltop rides with epic Glass House Mountain backdrops or experiences the calming beauty of the short but beautiful Gantry walk. Visit the unique Running Duck Studio set in a 1975 caravan or the Good Egg Gallery in a renovated historical old homestead. If you want to get a little more hands-on, why not book a spot for Tie-Dye and Yoga. And for a rare treat, Bohemian Décor in Dayboro hangs some original Norman Lindsay etchings. There is a little something for everyone, including some excellent accommodation options should you like to stay and play some more.

A detailed, interactive trail map is found on the Tawny Trails website. It is designed to flow easily from one location to another, utilizing google maps and directions to keep things simple. We recommend at least two visits to fully enjoy what's on offer. The trail can be easily split: Dayboro to Woodford and Dayboro to Wights Mountain. And then, of course, our artists are constantly creating, so there will always be something new to experience. That's why we are open every month because we are ready when you are, you can never capture everything in one visit

Visit the Tawny Trail's website for creative living insights, including accessible voice recordings from each location and an interactive trail map.
