Twilight Evening - Silhouettes: Fashion

Our ever popular twilight evenings are back for 2022!

As part of the season of Silhouettes: Fashion in the Shadow of HIV/AIDS, TDRF will be staying open late on the evening of Thursday 24 February from 5 to 7:30PM to give you an extra opportunity to experience this powerful and moving new show.

Skye Bartlett, guest curator, will be joining us for the evening to talk about the histories of some of the key pieces and designers in the exhibition, as well as the effects of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on the fashion community as a whole.

Doors open 5–7:30PM. Last entry 7PM. Tickets are available for pre-purchase or on the door for $20 including a complimentary drink on arrival. Children under 12 free. Additional drinks will be available for purchase for consumption in the forecourt and Roman room.

About the speaker

Skye Bartlett is a fashion historian and historic fashion and textile collector. He is a benefactor of the Art Gallery of South Australia, regularly donating important pieces of Australian and international clothing and couture. He is also the team manager of the South Australia Mobilisation and Empowerment for Sexual Health – SAMESH, a peer led HIV prevention program as a partnership between SHINE SA and Thorne Harbour Health.

Cost includes a glass of wine on arrival. Children under 12 free.
