Matt Laing draws us into the perplexing world of hypnagogia; the state between being awake and asleep. In this world premiere, Laing’s Night Terrors transports us into an imaginative dream-state, exploring the vivid darkness after we close our eyes. Bookended by Paul Juon’s charming yet rarely heard Trio-Miniaturen and the intoxicating Clarinet Trio in A minor, Op. 114 by Johannes Brahms, this is a performance not to be missed.
