Don't miss this fabulous jazz event!!!

After 3 long years guitarist Libor Šmoldas, and Hammond organ player Jakub Zomer are back in Australia! And, along with Mal Wood (trumpet) & Pete Neville (drums & percussion), will visit our beautiful mountain to put on a fabulous night of jazz and groovy rhythms at St Bernards Hotel on Tuesday 25th October.

"Libor Šmoldas is a genuine jazz guitar virtuoso, seamlessly combining the American blues-based tradition with European folk and classical elements, shaping them into a signature style that’s all his own...

Jakub Zomer, a gentle giant with a wicked sene of humour, who tames the organ beast, making it purr and breathe fire - sometimes simultaneously - at his will.” Nikolas Fotakis, Editor, Australian Jazz.net

Malcolm Wood is a passionate performer, adjudicator and educator.
Malcolm is the Artistic Director for the Brisbane Jazz Club and teaches at the Church of England Grammar School.
He had 10 wonderful years as Conductor / Musical Director with the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra Big Band and believes strongly in empowering young Artists to follow their dreams.

Pete Neville is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium Jazz department and composition graduate from Australian Film Television and Radio School. Having made the move to South East Queensland, he is now bringing a new troupe of local musicians into the fold. As well as freelancing in the Sydney jazz scene, Pete composed and played percussion nationally with jazz-rockers Trout Fishing in Quebec, played with the Resin Dogs and has also performed with a host of artists including You Am I, and Jack Johnson.
