WEST SET 2022 // The Seben Brothers // Los Cojones

The City of Maribyrnong is excited to welcome the return of their beloved live music event for its fourth instalment and the reinvention of West Set as part of ‘On The Road Again’, a Victorian Government initiative to support the return of live music events across Victoria. This festival will once again take over the inner west suburb of Footscray with live music programming on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays across the second half of October offering Free Entry for all shows.

The Seben Brothers
The Seben Brothers is an 8-piece Congolese Rumba/Soukous band formed in Melbourne in 2015 with a long pedigree of African performance. Their music is an eclectic mix of Central African music from the 1960’s and 70’s, all the way to new material created in Australia. It originates from the homeland of our singers and performers from the Congo, Mozambique and Kenya.
Los Cojones
Mambo wrapped in raucous, Los Cojones is Latin Jazz with attitude! Performing a repertoire ranging from Latin Jazz standards, Tito Puente to Eddie Palmieri, Perez Prado to Marc Ribot along with plenty of originals.
The City of Maribyrnong acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation and pay our respect to their Elders, past and present.
