A Salama Odyssey

Salama is a cosmopolitan collective of Indian Ocean natives and other artists of diverse origins. They share a passion for Maloya – a traditional percussion-based music from Reunion Island that has deep roots in the island’s history.

Pioneers in Australia’s Maloya scene, Salama are proud to bring audiences original music that skilfully blends the traditional and the modern, sharing stories of joy, nostalgia and everything in between.
