This Much Talent

ANNA SMYRK
With a voice described as ‘truly astonishing’ by Rolling Stone, Anna Smyrk is a powerful singer and song-maker from Naarm. Her songs are anthemic indie bombshells, equally satisfying for word nerds and pop-hook obsessives alike.

Anna has had a massive year, with highlights including touring North America and Europe and recording a new EP in Nashville. ‘A significant songwriter with an exceptional voice’ (Backseat Mafia UK), Anna’s new record sits somewhere in the sonic realm between Middle Kids, Sharon Van Etten and Maggie Rogers, all stamped with her signature voice and glittering arrangements.

She comes to the Worker’s to launch the new record, joined by her all-star band: Alex Burkoy (Tinpan Orange), Holly Thomas (Husky) and Loz Irwin-Ray (Belly Savalas).

THIS WAY NORTH
Touring faves This Way North will bring their explosive energy and expansive sound to the Workers Club.

This Way North’s music is a portal to summer festivals, their love affair with the road, and an open invitation to turn up the volume and let loose. Textured with rapturous nostalgia, moody tremolo-tinged yearncore, and pounding driving alt-psych rock, this duo will transport you through a sonic landscape of reverb-soaked guitars and rolling rhythms. The energy ricochets between Leisha and Cat with air-tight grooves and full cinematic spaciousness in that sweet spot where it all falls into place.
