Mosey on over to Ari's "All-Star Blues & Soul Jam" every Sunday night at Brisbane's genuine house of Americana jazz and blues music, Chattanooga Jazz Bar, with free entrance, every Sunday from 6:30pm till late.
Every week a different all-star featured artist hops onto the Chattanooga stage, joined by ivory-tickling pianist and soul-powered vocalist Aristotle, alongside the Chattanooga house rhythm section. Throughout the night the band welcomes up a foray of talented guest performers and sit-ins from Brisbane's talented music community to jam along to some authentic blues and soul.
This months line-up of featured artists:
Sunday 23rd July - Guitarist Paul Watson from "The Long Johns" & "Dubmarine"
Sunday 30th July - Saxophonist Gavin Manikus former host of the infamous bygone "Butters Jam"
Sunday 6th August - Vocalist Asabi Goodman fresh off tour from the musical "Hairspray"
Remember folks, it's a jam! So if you're musically inclined and have the skills to cook up some tasty grooves, bring on down your instrument of choice. Full back-line is provided!
(Food and drink discounts are always available for sitting-in musicians throughout the night, just ask at the bar!)
Ari's "All-Star Blues & Soul Jam" kicks off from 6:30pm every Sunday night at Chattanooga Jazz Bar, 115 Wickham St, Fortitude Valley (Parking above the venue at Cathedral Village).
