Gugu Yalanji songman Jungaji and his band are headlining the BLAK CHRISTMAS live music night at The Cave Inn in Brisbane on Wednesday 13th December, along with deadly First Nations artists Jamiesha, and Gling.
Jungaji (formerly Troy Brady) is a First Nations singer/songwriter, visual artist, playwright, and activist who has been renowned in the Australian music industry for three decades, first appearing on the scene as a teenager with Aim4More in the 90s who had an incredible sold-out reunion show a few months ago in Brisbane. He has embarked on a new creative path, fusing RnB and Soul to create a unique and authentic sound that showcases his cultural roots.
Jungaji’s original art will be exhibited at The Cave Inn from 24 November to 15 January, and also available to purchase at www.Jungaji.com/Shop
Jamiesha is a dynamic and powerful band that draws inspiration from their Indigenous roots in the Barkindji nation and Western Samoa, and their music is a celebration of culture, pride, and protest. Their original music is a unique fusion of pop, rock, hip hop, and soul, reflecting the diverse and colourful nature of their heritage.
Opening the night is deadly special guest Gling, who captivates audiences with his spell bounding sincere vocals layered over funky and soulful guitar grooves.
