The Metropolitan Orchestra’s second Met Concert for 2023 titled "Carnivals & Adventures" includes two exceptional masterworks along with an exciting world premiere featuring solo saxophone with orchestra. Join Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams and over 60 musicians of The Metropolitan Orchestra on May 28th for what will be an energetic concert filled with carnival atmosphere.

Antonin Dvořák’s fabulous Carnival Overture will set the bright musical theme before Australia’s brilliant Nicholas Russoniello, who is both the composer and feature alto saxophone soloist, joins conductor Sarah-Grace for his new work titled “Where The Mountain”. Edvard Grieg’s adventurous Peer Gynt Suite numbers one and two will bring the afternoon to a lively pinnacle in what is an outstanding opportunity to get fully immersed in a large orchestra within the incredible surrounds of beautiful Marrickville Town Hall.

Proudly supported by the Inner West Council.
