Chatswood Celebrates World Pride 2023

17 February – 5 March 2023

Willoughby City Council is celebrating World Pride 2023 with a host of arts and culture events and experiences in Chatswood starting on 17 February 2023.

Willoughby City Council will unite with organisations across Greater Sydney under the festival theme, Gather, Dream and Amplify, and truly transform Sydney into a rainbow city. Chatswood will play an important role in celebrating the diverse LGBTIQIA+ community with a full program of creative and entertaining events.

A group of prominent Australian artists will showcase their works as part of the exhibition, Unashamed, at the Art Space on The Concourse. The Exhibition will engage visitors in a dialogue around acceptance, love and understanding and is supported by a series of Artist workshops.

Artist Workshops include Draw your Life as a Map with drawer Jeremy Smith & illustrator Samuel Luke on 18 February; Artist Talk with William Yang and curator Paul McDonald on 4 March; and Portrait Photography Tips with David Charles Collins on 25 March.

The global hit musical, Kinky Boots is showing at the Concourse c/o the Notable Theatre Company from Friday 3 March until 18 March.

Throughout Pride Month, there will be a spectacle of colour and sounds coming an interactive Rainbow Accordion on The Concourse Lower Podium.
