Children aged 7-12 years are invited to explore journeys around the Convent’s heritage-listed gardens, buildings and grounds. This new project by artist, Jessica Wilson is a self-guided digital experience encouraging
kids to use their imagination and take part in a story-like adventure that happens in the real world. Through her work, Wilson aims to liberate children from the gaze of their adults and helps them engage with spaces in playful and different ways. Child Nation creates a safe environment where there is a shift of power in the parent/child relationship, giving children permission to experiment and explore their full creative selves. Child Nation launches on 4 January and runs Monday-Saturday every week. Free.
