CIIF Our Place

building a township and all who live there

Tasmania’s acclaimed PROTEA Impro hit the Street Theatre mainstage with Our Place as part of the Canberra International Improvisation Festival. Together with suggestions from you, the audience, the performers will create a small town and then fill it with characters.

Connection to place is one of the desires that commonly keeps people motivated to carry on. Sometimes, we can feel trapped and sometimes protected, but typically connected whether we want to be or not.

Our Place is your chance to design a better town and encourage positive relationships…., or perhaps to provoke a dysfunctional community. I guess it depends on who populates.

See the town come to life and a cast of characters created on the spot in a unique theatrical experience. We look forward to having you join us for this special performance, because it wouldn't be 'Our Place' without you.
