Claremont Speedway was the place to be on a Friday night for many a year. People came from near and far to soak up the atmosphere and excitement of the speedway.

Come to Claremont Museum to discover the hidden tales of this iconic event from the female driver who wore silk pyjamas to the fearless young men who raced motor cycles, speed cars. stock cars and sprint cars around one of the longest dirt tracks in the sport.
