Drag mayhem and mischief from your fave drag king and drag thing collective

Kongs is taking over Club Clocktower! Your favourite drag king and drag thing collective, Kong’s Kings, is going west for an evening of subversive drag artistry and debauchery, hosted by the charming surrealist painting come to life, Randy Roy.

Soak up the lush cabaret lounge vibes as Kong’s Kings run wild with the kind of camp silliness and creativity that will have you snort laughing your cocktail all over your cheeseboard. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! Featuring irreverent Draglesque Duke and Prince of Paint, Ira Luxuria (Birdoir, The Pelvic Thrusts), theatrical idiot and the hardest working eyebrows in drag, Jet Stir (D.R.A.G.), comedian and Britney fanatic, Jai Rater (MICF, Sunanda Loves Britney), and more to be announced.

Subverting drag since 2013, Kong’s Kings (or ‘Kongs’ as they’re affectionately known) is Naarm/Melbourne’s one-and-only drag king collective, a drag community championing fave and freshling drag kings, things, queerdos and all fabulous flavours of performance artists. They provide regular performance opportunities for marginalised drag performers and pathways for emerging drag performers onto the queer arts scene. With almost a decade under their belt, Kongs has a reputation for delivering fun, inclusive events, and for being the mentors behind many of your favourite drag artists.

Check out the Kong’s Kings insta for updates.

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm and has two intervals.
