MAKE Award: Biennial Prize for Innovation in Australian Craft and Design
The MAKE Award: Biennial Prize for Innovation in Australian Craft and Design is a new national award celebrating innovation in contemporary craft and design.
An initiative of Australian Design Centre, the MAKE Award is the richest non-acquisitive prize for craft and design in Australia. The winner receives a cash prize of $35,000 with a second prize of $10,000 awarded.

Open to designer makers working across ceramics, glass, furniture, woodwork, metalwork, textiles and fibre, and contemporary jewellery, the 30 finalists demonstrate that diversity of practice and a high level of skill and innovation.

Deep Material Energy II
Eight makers from Australia and New Zealand explore materiality in contemporary jewellery, body adornment, and objects.
Artists: Claire McArdle, Cara Johnson, Inari Kiuru, Kelly McDonald, Victoria McIntosh, Neke Moa, Rowan Panther, and Lisa Waup.

Studio 63 with Ebony Russell and Alexandra Standen
This exhibition in Australian Design Centre's Object Space window gallery on William Street is a creative exchange between contemporary ceramic artists Ebony Russell and Alexandra Stanton. They created a series of ceramic-based wall sconces incorporating light and shadow and responding to their shared love of vintage Australian lustreware.
