Following the overwhelming success of the Open Days held in April, the Governor and his wife Darrilyn Dawson are opening the doors to Government House once again this October.
Built in 1863, the heritage listed Government House hadn't been opened for the general public to tour since 2017 due to extensive conservation works. That all changed earlier this year with thousands of people taking the opportunity to explore the historic house and gardens as part of the City of Perth's Boorloo Festival.
Across two big days they will open again, and they're shaping up to be bigger and better, with food vans, live music, dance performances, children’s activities, garden tours and educational displays across both days.
There's plenty to do for all ages, from taking in the history and grandeur of the house, through to enjoying a picnic, animal farm and activities in the Gardens - and who knows, you might even get to meet the Governor.
