The Bach Society of Queensland Inc presents Handel's Messiah: a great light shining in the darkness

Over all these years, Messiah truly has been a great light, shining upon those walking in darkness, and has become a celebrated part of the choral repertoire. For many of us, we could even claim that (despite the work’s Easter origins) the Christmas season has not truly begun until we have heard the tenor proclaim “Comfort ye, my people”. As we approach the end of another year, the Bach Society of Queensland invites you to join us for our 2023 performance of Handel’s Messiah, this year presented in the version heard by the very first audience in Dublin in 1742.

The performance will be at 2.00pm on Saturday 16 December (note the matinee time), in the Dron Auditorium at St Peter's Lutheran College, Indooroopilly. Tickets (Adults $50, Concessions $45, Groups 6+ $40, Secondary Students $20, Children free) can be purchased online through Trybooking, by phone (call Tina on 0438 971 951), or will be available at the door on the day. Seating is allocated at the time of booking.
