Homelands celebrates rituals of belonging, brought from one’s homeland, ruptured by migration, healed and re-imagined in a new country.
This afternoon of music, song, dance and story celebrates the irrepressible power of the human spirit, illuminated through the lenses of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian community and the Brimbank Multicultural Community Choir.
The artists sharing their work include Saray Iluminado led by Nela Trifkovic, Sevdalinka Bosnian Choir, Senada Ekic’s DUKAT, Bosnian Dance Ensemble and Brimbank Multicultural Choir, Directed by Veronica Gauci.
This concert is a celebration of these cultural treasures and of the opportunity to perform in a space with others, listening and sharing the joy of live performance!
Supported by Brimbank City Council through the Community Grants Program and the Bowery Theatre.
