Venue and Accessibility
The venue is wheelchair accessible, if you have accessibility concerns or advanced seating requests please email us at mothertonguelove@gmail.com
Otherwise, you're welcome to pick your table when you arrive and one of our volunteers can ensure that any chairs are removed for you if needed.
Deaf/Hard of hearing
Unfortunatly, this event currently has no Auslan or captioning available. However our small team is looking into options. We will update this section if this changes.
Sensory Awareness
The event will have amplified sound and the venue is very large and spacious. The audience will be up to 250 people.
The audience will be seated around circular tables. There will not be a dance floor. People may leave their seats at times but the general intention is for them to stay seated.
The performances will mostly be spoken word with one singer-songwriter on acoustic guitar. There will not be any extreme flashing lights or sudden lighting or sound level shifts.
There will be a short interval for networking when ambient sound may increase as people talk amongst themselves.
We are still clarifying whether there will be Alcohol served in the space. If there is we will ensure there is also a variety of non alcoholic drinks available too.
