Following it's 2023 sellout debut at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Paris Cat Jazz Club is delighted to present Jackie Bornstein's Screen Song; celebrating music from iconic television and movie soundtracks.

Together with her exceptional band of rising and esteemed jazz artists, Jackie Bornstein shares her favourite songs from iconic television and movie soundtracks. Singing in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Yiddish and Portuguese, Jackie will perform a mix of swing, bossa nova, blues and deeply moving songs drawn from classic films and acclaimed tv series including Six Feet Under, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Schindler’s List and more.

From the swinging It’s a Good Day to the haunting Oyfn Pripetshik, the program features diverse composers including Peggy Lee, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Maria Grever, Keren Ann, Luiz Bonfá, Bruno De Filippi and more.

Jackie Bornstein is one of Melbourne’s most captivating jazz and bossa nova singers. Known for her rich tones and ability to get to the heart of a tune, Jackie’s performances champion beautiful music from across the globe, sharing timeless stories from diverse cultures.

Joined by flute player and rising star in the Australian jazz scene Yael Zamir, virtuosic guitarist Nathan Slater, gifted guitarist Craig Fermanis and Nick Haywood, one of Australia’s most in demand jazz bassists.
