Jackie Bornstien Quartet

Jackie returns to Lido Jazz Room with her rich vocals and top band.

Jackie will perform an infectious repertoire featuring a mixture of ballads, bossa nova and swing tunes by influential composers from across the globe including George Gershwin, Edith Piaf, Peggy Lee, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Maria Grever, Duke Ellington and more.

Joined by rising jazz star Yael Zamir on flute, exciting guitarist James Sherlock, and esteemed bassist Philip Rex.

Jackie Bornstein is one of Melbourne's most captivating jazz, chanson and bossa nova singers. Known for her rich tones and ability to get to the heart of a tune, Jackie brings a powerful energy to each performance. Jackie was awarded a City of Melbourne Arts Grant to record her latest album released in December 2022; "Women in Jazz an Invitation to Freedom". The album features a beautiful selection of jazz classiscs and lesser know gems by female composers from across the globe.
