Be transported back to 1830 Paris in an elegant salon, the like of which hosted Chopin and Liszt, for an evening with Konstantin Shamray - a pianist whose extraordinary technique allows him to play with power tempered by sensitivity, finesse, and at times humour.
We have heard him play in the Festival Theatre or the Adelaide Town Hall. Now is the chance to hear him in the Adelaide Baroque Hall: an intimate setting where the music sounds as though it is being played just for you.
Konstantin will talk about and play music that he loves in this one-of-a-kind evening.
Before the recital, sample the wine or soft drink and canapés. There will be a chance to speak with Konstantin afterwards, as you sip a last glass of wine.
The Adelaide Baroque Hall was the dream of Adelaide-raised composer and pianist Julian Cochran. Julian is familiar with salons of Europe where his music is played. He wanted Adelaide audiences to have the same magical experience, without the need to travel overseas.
Proceeds from this recital go to Radio 5mbs, a community radio dedicated to fine music. Konstantin is a 5mbs member and has given it much support
This is a chance to be part of something memorable. Remember, tickets are limited!
