Ladbrokes Derby Day

Racing returns to Eagle Farm Racecourse for Ladbrokes Derby Day, the fourth raceday in Brisbane Racing Club's premier annual thoroughbred racing event, The Star Stradbroke Season 2023.

The race card features two Group 1 $1million races: the headline Ladbrokes Queensland Derby and the EVA Air Kingsford Smith Cup.

The Group 2 $1 million Aquis Stallions Sires Produce Stakes is also run today, while a ticket into Queensland's richest race, The Star Stradbroke Handicap, is on offer for the winner of the Group 3 Fred Best Classic.

The fashion theme for the day is classic Derby Day ‘black and white’ with racegoers encouraged to express their creativity and enter the first Duke Realty Fashions on the Field competition. Thousands of dollars in prizing, including jewellery, fragrance and wardrobe vouchers, will be won by the top three best dressed.

There's a range of hospitality functions at which you can relax, wine and dine in style, yet not miss a moment of the dynamic contests on the track. And don't forget to stay for the entertainment after the last race: Brisbane band Vegas Please will hit the stage on the public lawn.
