Audiences can expect fascinating new artforms from some of WA’s best artists when Melville Contemporary, the biennial art prize for experimental art, returns this month.

Opening at the beautiful Goolugatup Heathcote Gallery, audiences can expect exploratory new pieces spanning sound, movement, textile, painting, digital media and sculpture from some of WA’s best artists including Tom Mùller, Akira Akira, Jess Day, Natsumi De Dianous, Dan Bourke and Mei Saraswati.

The exhibition launch will see the significant new artforms showcased together with a sunset edition of live music by Goolugatup Sounds overlooking the swan river with a performance from Melville Contemporary finalist Mei Saraswati, supported by Erasers.

BYO picnic or enjoy the full bar and delicious food on offer from Lahore on Wheels and Teeter Bakery.
