The Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to present an intimate showcase of Western Australia’s brightest young musical talents, in the exquisite surrounds and acoustics of Government House Ballroom.

This concert will feature sensational MetSO Young Artists : Audrey Jarvis (violin), Nicole Li (piano), Charis Postmus (soprano), Alex Thomson (clarinet), Lachlan Higgins (baritone), Max Wung (cello) and Tina Algeri (piano).

On stage alongside our Artists is distinguished Concert Pianist Raymond Yong.

Our own MetSO Musicians will be enchanting our audience in novel formats designed to suit this space, presenting the world premiere of “Karrinyup Fanfare”, an exciting new work inspired by the Orchestra’s history and future and composed by concertmaster Ben Clapton. Outstanding new MetSO Conductor Izaak Wesson will conduct the Fanfare as well as Strauss’ beautiful Wind Serenade.

We have a fabulous program in store for you, featuring a string of musical pearls by Chopin, Liszt, Sarasate, Dvorak, Weill, Holmès and more.

We will also be announcing our 2023 Young Artists.

Doors open at 2pm for pre-Concert refreshments. This event is being professionally catered by our friends at Comestibles, with a delicious range of food and beverage options on offer.
