New Beginnings Festival

New Beginnings Festival showcases Australia’s leading creative talent from refugee and culturally diverse backgrounds.

The event is an opportunity to celebrate and immerse yourself in eclectic sounds, tastes from all over the world, and a cultural visual experience like no other.

It features a world-class line up of eight musicians and dancers, international cuisine, arts and crafts markets, and activities. The artists include multi-award winning Australian rapper and proud Butchulla man Birdz; Malo Malo's modern Afro-Colombian tinged Salsa; and Haitian and French tunes from international singer-songwriter Athésia.

New Beginnings Festival 2023 is being held at the beautiful harborside Sydney Maritime Museum as part of Sydney Festival on Saturday, January 28. We welcome the general public and diverse audiences of all ages and genders.
