Motley Bauhaus

Experience this one of a kind debaucherous collision between the intimate practice of life drawing, and unique explorations of BDSM, presented by Himboy Events and The Motley Bauhaus.

Interested in capturing sensual debauchery through art? From shibari to wax play, impact to power explorations, the intimate practice of life drawing will collide with individual and unique expressions of gender, hedonism and sexuality to create a truly one of a kind experience. So whether you are a dab hand at stick figures, or a master artist, come check out No Strings Attached. Hosted at Motley Bauhaus in Carlton on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land, No Strings Attached will present artists for you to capture for a beautiful shared moment.

Participants are required to bring their own art materials, whether a notebook and a pen, paints, charcoal, or digital drawing devices. If your art is messy, please bring a drop sheet with you to keep the venue clean. Takeaway is allowed in the venue, so if you need a snack please bring them with you. The event will commence at 4pm, and end at 6pm with a break in the middle.

Please note that the performance will contain BDSM, nudity and adult themes. Our performers will delicately unveil and share their own blend of BDSM play from the erotic, to sado-masochistic, to the wacky and wonderful for you to sketch, paint or draw. Please be aware that this is not a space of judgement, so please leave preconceptions at the door and enter the space with an open mind. The organisers acknowledge that BDSM has a complex and political history. The organisers encourage reflection when participating in any activities that have been used to marginalise or harm groups, as well as the support of organisations such as Pay the Rent, and Black Rainbow.
