Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club on Sunday 28th May 2023 with free music entertainment with the support of the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has John Talati & Adele and John Howard.

‘Perth Folk and Roots Club welcomes back Perth Folk and Roots Club supporters John Talati & Adele and John Howard to perform at Perth Folk and Roots Club‘, said Keith Anthonisz, President of the Perth Folk and Roots Club.

John Talati is a singer/songwriter who has played the Perth scene for many years and together with Adele he has found a duet to bring together sweet harmonies and energy filled acoustic music. On this occasion John will be performing his solo repertoire. John has also released a number of original albums and covers many genres – folk, country, rock & jazz. John performs all around Perth as a singer/guitarist/harmonica player and plays bass in bands including The Rick Steele band, Indigo Duck and the Lovebites. John is a great supporter of Perth Folk and Roots Club.

John Howard is a Perth based singer, songwriter who's songs are based on true stories, life experiences and characterisations, all with a strong guitar focus, both acoustic and electric. Influenced by many folk, blues and country musicians, John has developed a style of fingerpicking which allows him to play songs from John Prine, Ralph McTell, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan (to name a few) on both acoustic and electric guitar. With two 12 track albums of original songs already released (So it Goes in 2018 & Vintage Commando in 2020) and another body of work waiting to be recorded, John is as busy as ever. Collaborating with some of Perths finest musicians is a dream come true and John is also recording some of their music in his home studio where his own albums were recorded. Johns set will comprise of mostly original songs but will include several covers as a nod to his influencers.

‘As always we are also looking for up and coming artists to do a few numbers for the audience’, Keith added.
