On Sunday 5th March at 4:00pm at OLGC Catholic Church, top Sydney musicians, oboist Callum Hogan, violinist Marina Marsden, violist Tobias Breider and cellist Miles Mullin-Chivers perform “Phantasy”, a fascinating program of musical favourites and hidden gems for Wyvern Music Forestville.

The musicians will take the audience on a musical discovery of fantasy and folktale, from Mozart’s delightful Quartet for oboe and strings to the English and Irish folk music of Moeran’s Fantasy Quartet. The centrepiece of the program, Benjamin Britten’s youthful Phantasy is surrounded by charming Hungarian and German Romantic string trios.

Callum Hogan (oboist) was a Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellow for 2020 and 2021 and in 2022 successfully auditioned for the Oboe position of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Marina Marsden, Principal 2nd Violinist, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and a Winston Churchill Fellow, has recorded several CDs of chamber music. Tobias Breider, Principal Violist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since 2011, has established himself as one of Australia’s most sought-after violists in chamber music. Miles Mullin-Chivers (cellist) is a casual member of Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Opera Australia and was a Sydney Symphony Fellow for 2020 and 2021.
