Sew Good - Sewing Courses - Beginners Tuesdays OR Intermediates/Dressmaking Thursdays

Never picked up a needle and thread, or have some experience but wanting to make bigger seam dreams a reality?
Sew Good returns to gather you up a lifetime of future sewing successes!
Let our friendly expert trainer Lyn Burton masterfully guide you through essential skills over your choice of 10-wk series of classes aimed at different sewing levels. Whether to relax, learn new skills, meet new people, or create award-winning pieces, best book ASAP to avoid missing these wildly popular courses.

Beginners:
Tuesdays, 6-9pm | 2 May - 4 July
Learn the basics from hand to machine sewing, buttoning to corners and curves. You'll also graduate having created your very own sewing set, pincushion, scissor holder, needle holder, drawstring bag, sewing machine mat, zipper bag, and a tote to carry it all.

Intermediate/ Dressmaking Essentials:
Thursdays, 6-9pm | 27 April - 29 June
For graduates of the Beginners class or sewers with base skills looking to progress to learning dressmaking, expect to improve your reading of designs, fitting patterns, marking fabric etc. You'll leave having created pants, an A-line skirt, and a dress.

Where: Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds

Bookings: Full-term fees are $150 for 10 weeks of classes, to be paid prior to the commencement of classes.

Instructor: Lyn Burton
Sewing since she was 8 years old, Lynn has been a CAHRS member for a couple of years, is a Fairbridge Craft Retreat alumni, was the assistant teacher for sewing classes in 2021, and has now taken over both classes as the teacher.

To Bring: Byo sewing machine, essentials kit (needle, thread, scissors, pins, tape measure etc) and materials.
Please note, Beginners kits are able to be purchased at the event if you cannot organise one yourself.
