Shine On Gimuy will light up the waterfront with vibrant First Nations artworks leading the audience to Salt House Festival Hub where a four night live music programme will host performances from iconic First Nations artists including Dan Sultan, Emily Wurramara, Miiesha and Jungaji (formerly known as Troy Brady).
Saturday afternoon will introduce Jungaji to the stage, along with Deline Briscoe & the Briscoe sisters, + Mau Power.
Jungaji is a GuGu Yalanji songman, visual artist, playwright and activist. He has embarked on a new creative path, fusing RnB and Soul to create a unique and authentic sound that showcases his cultural roots.
"FNQ is my bayan (home) being the doorway to our Gugu Yalanji western homelands and the opportunity to reconnect & to showcase my rebirth through “Shine on Gimuy” is a blessing that I honour" says Jungaji.
